    Back in October I got my weight below 200 pounds for the first time in a year, and I set a goal of being below 190 by my birthday (which is coming up in two days).

    Well, this morning I made it. True, I weighed myself right after my morning workout and I’ll probably be two or three pounds heavier by bedtime, but I’m still counting my 188.6 pound weigh-in as meeting my goal.

    Yea me!

    Anyway, enough celebrating, time to move on. My next goal is to get below 183, which according to BMI charts would put me at my maximum “Normal” weight. Maximum normal weight doesn’t exactly sound like the healthiest possible weight, but I think in my case it will be good enough for now - especially if I keep working out most days of the week.

    Since setting a deadline worked for getting below 190, I’m going to set another deadline for getting below 183. That’s only 6 or 7 pounds that I have to lose, so two or three months should be plenty of time. Therefore I’m going to try to hit my new weight goal by May 1, which seems like as good a day to pick as any.
