For the first time in I don’t know how many years, I’ve gotten my weight down below the 200 pound mark. In fact, I think I’ve lost five or six of those pounds just since I started teaching school again 6 weeks ago. I guess that darting about in front of a classroom all day is better for weight loss than sitting on my butt in my apartment just 20 feet away from my refrigerator (who knew?).
Actually, over the summer I was exercising 3 times a week and converting some of my fat into muscle mass, and since school started I’ve exercised maybe five times total. So, I’ve probably lost about as much muscle as I have fat. Now that I’m getting used to the flow of schoolwork, I’m hoping that will change - but we’ll see if does or not.
Anyway, there’s something nice about stepping on the scale and seeing that first number show up as a 1 instead of a 2.
