I haven’t posted much in my blog lately because I’ve been extremely busy with my student teaching and my Sac State classes and stuff. However, even under the most mundane situations I still find myself thinking “hmm… I wonder if I could write about this in my blog?”
So, below I have put some of the cliche, melodramatic, and just plain strange topics I didn’t put in my blog lately because I couldn’t find the time. You can judge for yourself if this has been a big loss or not.
Stuck behind a gravel truck on the two lane highway of life - I thought of this topic while I was driving to school one morning and I was stuck behind … well, you know. I don’t know if it would be the start of a great blog entry, or just the name of a bad country western song.
Sometimes when I’m stuck waiting for a train to go by I think about hopping on it and just riding away to wherever it might go… This is a topic I came up with when I was driving from my student teaching to my class at Sac State and I was stuck waiting for … (do you detect a pattern here?). It’s too bad I didn’t do an entry on this one because I’m pretty sure I’m the first person to ever think such a thing - yes?
There’s something about libraries and bookstores that make me really want to poop. I don’t know if it’s all the slow shuffling about combined with the bending and the reaching, or if the smell of all that paper and ink reminds me of the “reading room” back home, but I’ve never been able to be in a bookstore or a library for more than an hour or so before I get a strong urge to head back to the house to (ahem) take care of business.
Yeah, I know that you didn’t need to know that, but it’s out there so it’s too late now.
So, those are the kind of quality potential blog entries that have been sadly left unwritten since I’ve become so busy. Anyway, I’ll see if I can maybe clear up a little time in coming weeks so I don’t have to leave any more of these brilliant observations undocumented.
