We finally made it to St. George.

It’s pretty stupid, but I almost managed to get our departure day wrong. I somehow managed to convince myself with no particular evidence that the first day of the tour would be on Sunday, meaning we would drive to Utah on Saturday. However, on the morning that we were getting ready to go, I just happened to check one tiny piece of paper I had telling me what day our hotel reservation was in St. George, and it was for Sunday night - not Saturday night.

I was confused to say the least!

After some phone calls and some careful checking of our itinerary, I managed to figure out that we really are scheduled to start the tour on Monday. So, I had missed Friday juggling in order to pack when there was absolutely no reason since we didn’t need to leave until Sunday.

Does that make sense? If it does, I don’t think it should.

So, for the rest of the day on Saturday I just vegged out. Somehow I was now too tired to go juggle at the Ren Faire with my friends. I did manage to watch just about everything I had buffered up on TiVO though - certainly an important accomplishment for the day.

Anyway, the drive to St. George was long but well worth it. We took highway 95 - which runs down the east side of the sierras below the foothills in Nevada. The scenery is a geoligists dream - every kind of rock formation you can imagine is on display with all kinds of colors. It was also interesting to drive through the sparce towns along the way - most of them looking like they were well past their salad days.

I need to get back to my room now and finish getting ready.

    See you all soon.
