Linux and I are back on speaking terms. My “Linux Break” lasted about an hour.
I spent the bulk of the day just putzing around with Linux. I figured out how to use FTP and SSH to access my files on my Internet Service Provider (ISP), including publishing directly to my website from my favorite html editor (Nvu). I also did a lot of web browsing and found out that RealPlayer movies work just fine, even if Quicktime movies and Microsoft Media Player movies don’t.
Finally, I played a few Linux games. FreeCiv kind of sucked (if only because CivIII is about 10 times better), but XGammon and Frozen-Bubble were pretty fun.
I promise myself tomorrow I’m going to do (or at least write about) something else - anything else.
